Opportunities for You

So you want to grow by serving:   chamberaward2014

Let me list some ways for you to consider stretching that you may not have considered before. I can personally state that most of these activities listed are all things that have helped me personally in my walk of faith with Jesus.

Join the choir that rehearses each Thursday night at 6:15 pm

If you play an instrument that is great.. We are looking for creative ways to add more musical variety to worship each week.  Some members are taking singing lessons. Others have taken out their old instruments and are taking lessons once again. Music is really important in our church. We love to praise Him with joyful noises. You can help.

Ask to join our praise band called: Campfire Christian Revival. It is expanding and more instruments and voices are always being added.

Help facilitate a Sunday School Class. We offer 3 new adult class options each quarter. We also need assistant Sunday School teachers for our youth and our two children classes on Sunday mornings.

Lead the Children’s church lesson each Sunday.  We have an age-appropriate course of study for you to use.  This happens each Sunday after the children’s message given by the pastor. The more teachers the better the rotation schedule is for all.

Prayer warriors are needed to pray and to lead prayer before, during and after worship.

Strengthen your relationships with folks in the church by joining our Sonshine Gang.  It is for active senior adults. We still argue over what age that is…but you will fit right in if you like to do some cool things like camp or attend a ball game or movie. But the Sonshine Gang also works on ministry projects too.

Special Projects to help the church and the pastor:  Card writing, publicity, message changes, reading programs, church directory updates, official photographer, sound booth, prayer shawl ministry… etc.  These things and more just help us all to keep our church focused on helping and serving.

Bottom line: It is all about being in ministry together to serve.
